2027 Kia Telluride

The all-new 2027 Kia Telluride is poised to build upon its Top Picks-winning predecessor, with a slightly increased size, high-tech cabin, and numerous trim variants. The smooth-sided SUV rides on a 3-inch longer wheelbase, stretching 2.3 inches longer from bumper to bumper, plus it grew an inch taller. Combined, this promises more interior and cargo space. The base engine is a 274-hp, 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic transmission. For the first time, the Telluride will be offered as a hybrid. This more-efficient version features a 329-hp, 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Both versions are available in front- or all-wheel drive.

About Kia

For almost any modern vehicle category, there’s a Kia that’s worth considering buying. Among competitive small and midsized sedans, Kia sells the K4 and K5. For small and midsized SUVs, models like the Sportage and Sorento are competitive with nice interiors, good ride comfort, and appropriately powerful engines. Fuel economy across the brand is generally good, but hybrid and plug-in hybrid options are available for even more miles per gallon. Plug-in hybrid options have a useful all-electric driving range. Kia EVs are generally competent, but buyers need to be attentive to reliability. Many new and used Kias earn our recommendation.
