2026 Cadillac Optiq

Based on GM's Ultium modular electric platform, the two-row Optiq SUV is positioned below the Lyriq in the automaker's expanding line of EVs. There is a single powertrain configuration, with 300 horsepower and all-wheel drive, and one battery pack at 85 kWh. The driving range is an EPA estimated 302 miles. The elegant interior houses a massive 33-inch wide display that encompasses instrument panel and infotainment system functions. Fortunately, there are still physical buttons for many common controls. Fitting with its high-tech image, the Optiq has a comprehensive suite of standard active safety and driver assistance features, including Super Cruise, an active driving assistance system that can handle acceleration, braking, and steering on pre-mapped divided highways, with a connected subscription after three years. 2026 brings a performance V version with 519 hp. Rear-wheel drive is added and the AWD version gains an extra 140 hp. A Tesla-style NACS port is now standard.

About Cadillac

Cadillac is a storied luxury brand from General Motors with a range of sedans and SUVs positioned above Buick, Chevrolet, and GMC. Its SUV line spans from compact options up to the full-sized Escalade. Several boldly designed EV models have excellent range, quick acceleration, and fast charging speeds. There’s also the V-Series, a line of performance versions available for several vehicles, which can compete with the best sports sedans from Europe. Most models are available with excellent driver assistance tech, including GM’s Super Cruise. Reliability is not strong point.
